the rant of a crazy man
Some guy left these rants in the comments field of the MacTalk Survey. They are anonymous and at no time did MacTalk say they will respond to them. I don’t know who this is (but apparently it’s a Melbourne reseller with a 100k/yr marketing budget) and I have no idea what MacTalk did to offend him.
I plan to print this out and put it on the wall, as a reminder of what not to do when running MacTalk.

Second if you dont want to add a filter to the site i will simply take my hard earn money and spend it at places that dont advertise with you Also Done, and you cant get woman to come in here with the swearing and other dribble you guys talk about… wow you are a bunch of cowboys…. long live all other professional forums.. now wonder they are Booming while yours slowing slides down the drain

11/05/2008 11:57 AM your site shows the sort of thing you would expect from kids running a site, you let your posters get away with to much. your site is not a patch on other sites like the newer AMW site which is attracting around 250 new members per month, which basically means it will pass this site in roughly 13 months, compared with your 5 years to achieve the same results, drop the bad language and tighten up the controls over what is posted and you may actually attract advertisers like myself, but at the moment i would hate to have my companies name displayed any where near your site, and on that subject i after scanning your site for actual people who purchase from your advertisers is very very low compared to other site, which basically means you are attracting a lower income demographic to your site, and not the actual buyers that earn 50k or more and can afford to buy off your advertisers, again another mistake on the admin of this site, if you just as serious about making this site have decent and not a laughing stock, i suggest you fire your admin and your so called Mods and adopt a professional approach or simply close the site down and get real jobs.

A mac reseller in Melbourne until you guys actually set the agenda for this site , clean it up and lead by example with your own lsuguage on your podcasts. You will never see a cent of my 100k a year advertising budget nor will you Ever get me to recommend this site to anybody looking for mac help regardless of there age nor sex. Due to the brilliant filtering systems at your opposition macworld australia is the only place I can point new mac users who are looking for valuable information not simply talk that you find in a brothel
11/05/2008 7:58 PM once again your inability to see faults in your forum comes to the front. You run a poll asking is swearing is ok to a bunch of morons that have very little idea on how to tie there own shoe laces. You should be looking at how long you have had this site up and add back how many people have not posted for 3 months or more they are the ones that are not here anymore to point out how pathetic this site has become. If you added back the ones you have lost which I guess by now exceed 100s add that figure back into the people who would prefer no swearing , but like most ignorant business owners you close the gate after the horse has bolted … Good luck in your next venture. I think you will need it , if somebody is stupid or ignorant to employ you I sure as he’ll know I wouldnt
11/05/2008 8:09 PM you guys are becoming the laughing stock of every other forum around, you are collecting feed back from what 68 people out what your site claims to of had online one 3300 ? doesnt it tell you something that 3200 of your so called members have had enough brains to leave this pathetic excuse for a mac forum and found better places to learn about macs without being flamed or putting up with foul language, you so called gurus of this site have a lot to learn about what people want and expect from online forums, O and you really made laugh with your ill advised comments about not bowing to your advertisers, i guess you should send them and email in mactalk style and tell them to Fuck Off, lets see how long the sites stays up for on your dole payments, cause the clowns that come in here will not keep you in pocket money, i see even you strongest supporters like clockworks etc have pulled the pin and move camps out of disgust with this site as well.
12/05/2008 5:56 PM boy o boy you guys are so dumb well except carra he actually has a brain, i have read ever one of these posts so far and what a joke, the same people spitting and carrying on over and over, can make talk survive with 50 bozos spending there time supporting the site with no money just lots of poor advice i dont think so, AMW on the other hand with there 1200 plus members and growing, has lost maybe 5 people compared to you 2000 odd that have left, i have a great idea , dont close the thread BAN anybody from commenting more than once, send an email to your clients and ask them to complete a survey on WHY they no longer come in, then you will get some real feedback

In a nut shell you can tell them that the people that ran it where fools and they got back what they sewed, good luck in the last months or maybe weeks of your sites life left
